Job description

Do you love clean shapes, bold colors, and making something look quirky and charming with the fewest details possible? Good. We need you.
Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 60 wonderful humans are united by a simple mission: to make everyone laugh.
We're growing! And we're looking for a Senior Game Artist to join one of our game teams as an art generalist, owning most of its visual output day to day. The visual style blends flat, minimalist vector art with low-poly 3D, staying clean, bright, and full of character. If you love that aesthetic and enjoy wearing many art hats, keep reading.

Here’s What You’ll Do Day To Day
  • Take ownership as the main day-to-day artist on the project
  • Create vector-based art assets for a game with an established style: a charming, minimalist, and clean low-poly vector aesthetic that blends 2D with flattened 3D elements
  • Design and deliver characters, environments, props, and UI elements
  • Model and texture low-poly 3D assets that integrate seamlessly with the game’s 2D vector art
  • Design, build, and iterate hands-on in the Unity editor like the rest of the team
  • Quickly turn ideas into concepts the team can react to and build on
  • Support the project and team across art-related areas as they come up, including estimation and planning of art tasks
  • Stay closely aligned with internal and external stakeholders, discussing and acting on their feedback often
You’re probably a good match if
  • You bring 7+ years of game art experience and a versatile toolkit shaped by working across different parts of game productions
  • You have expert-level skills in vector art software (we use Illustrator)
  • You know your way around 3D software at least at an intermediate level
  • You have a good eye for simplicity, clarity, colors, and strong shapes
  • You have experience working in Unity
  • You have a gameplay-first mindset, meaning you always think about how the art impacts the gameplay
  • You explain your creative choices clearly, and you’re just as quick to update them when a good argument comes along
Nice to have
  • Experience with game or UX design
  • Experience working with a visual style similar to ours
  • You’re interested in experimenting with tools and workflows to increase efficiency in the art pipeline
What Always Matters To Us At Triband
  • You thrive in taking ownership of your area: you spot problems, seek advice when needed, and implement creative solutions that push projects forward.
  • You’re motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity, and you actively contribute to sustaining that culture.
  • You believe games are made by teams, not solo rockstars, and that good ideas can come from anyone.
  • You bring curiosity, generosity, and flexibility, along with strong opinions, especially when they come with reasoning, openness, and a willingness to actually test them.
  • You’re up for experimentation, and at the same time you don’t get too precious when the experience tells you you’re wrong.
  • You value a positive work environment and contribute to keeping the studio a fun and supportive place.
Practicalities
  • We work on-site at our cozy office in central Copenhagen.
  • This role is based in the Greater Copenhagen area, and we’re not offering relocation for this one.
  • We work a 37-hour work week, with core hours 10-15, and the freedom to start and finish anywhere between 7 and 18.
  • Our working language is English.
  • Most importantly: no crunch. People over deadlines.
We offer
  • A shot at shaping the visual identity of a live game played by millions
  • A tight, collaborative art team where your ideas actually make it into the game
  • A playful work environment where trying the silly idea is encouraged
  • Friendly and kind colleagues who love making each other laugh as much as making games
  • A professional development budget to invest in your growth
  • Social activities like Friday bars, hobby nights, board game nights, and whatever else Tribanders turn into a tradition
  • Daily lunch at a local restaurant, with plant-based options and soft ice on Thursdays
  • Private health insurance paid by us
  • Child’s first sick day on us, no questions asked
  • Endless amounts of Cocio
