Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Senior Engineer, Digital Innovation and AI to lead technical design and own solutions from architecture to production. You will shape the application portfolio, work with Azure AI and modern data platforms in a global finance setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on AI development, enterprise SAP-enabled contexts, and the freedom to propose bold ideas within a collaborative, inclusive team in Denmark.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT, software engineering, mathematics or data science.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Experience building data pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Experience with AI frameworks, RAG and agents orchestration.
• Proficient in Python backend frameworks (FastAPI) and React is a plus.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.

Your new position

As a Senior Engineer, Digital Innovation and AI, you will lead technical design and own solutions from architecture through production operation of Digital Innovation & AI’s application portfolio.

Moreover

• You will be designing, developing, and improving digital solutions that meet the organization's current and future business needs.
• You will get to work hands-on with developing AI solutions including implementing agentic AI for global processes.
• You will be given ample space to suggest and try out your ideas, as well as challenge the status quo.

You should also have experience working with enterprise Finance processes—such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay or record-to-report—and be comfortable operating in an SAP-enabled landscape. This is an excellent way to apply cutting-edge AI technologies in a corporate environment at scale.

Your new department

You will join Digital Innovation & AI, a department in Digital Finance & Architecture. Digital Innovation & AI is a dynamic and international team at the forefront of implementing AI and other digital solutions handling global financial processes at Novo Nordisk. We are the team responsible for driving Novo Nordisk AI journey within Finance, Legal, Procurement and many other areas. We use the latest technologies to develop our application portfolio and ultimately deliver advanced digital solutions for multiple users across the organization.

Your Skills & Qualifications

You have a master’s degree within IT, software engineering, mathematics, data science or other related fields. Ideally you are an experienced developer with +7 years of experience. You fulfil most of the following criteria:

• Experience with Azure DevOps, ci/cd pipelines, IaC.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Experience building Azure Data Factory, Databricks, ETL.
• Experience with AI frameworks, RAG, agents orchestration.
• Experience with modern AI Coding tools.
• Experience with Python backend frameworks, such as FastAPI
• Experience in web-development in React is an advantage
• SQL and database design

You have a strong analytical mind-set, a clear flair full stack software development and you can work independently or collaborate effectively with colleagues, dependent on the task. You are proactive, dynamic, curious and a quick learner.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000.00 to 956,900.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
