Job summary

Ørsted Group is seeking to develop and enhance core market models that support short- and mid-term energy market analysis. The role blends Python development with a deep interest in energy markets to deliver scalable, reliable models used daily by trading and commercial teams.

You will join Forecasting & Market Analysis, collaborating with analysts, traders, and platform teams to ensure high-quality data-driven insights and continuous improvement in how we model energy markets.

Qualifications

Background in quantitative development, engineering, economics, or related fields.
Deep knowledge of European gas markets.
Proficient in scalable, well-tested Python code and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

Develop gas supply and demand models to enable trading and portfolio management.
Develop and improve gas and power market models for supply-demand and price formation.
Integrate weather, fuel prices, outages, and interconnector flows into models.
Ensure model outputs reflect market behaviour across short- and mid-term horizons.
Improve model governance, monitoring performance, and data updates.
Collaborate with traders, analysts, and developers to deliver actionable insights.
