Job summary

Microchip Denmark, based in Herlev, is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Developer to join the team responsible for the full software stack of Ethernet switches used in automotive applications.

You will work in the application layer, mentor juniors, lead architecture, and drive safety features, while collaborating with RTL and HW teams. English communication and standards-driven development are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C and embedded software development.
• Experience with software requirements specification and standards-driven development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Solid communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Nice-to-have: Ethernet, CoAP, CORECONF/YANG, PTP.

Responsibilities

• MD responsibilities span the full development lifecycle from requirements to implementation, testing and documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and take on leadership responsibilities.
• Lead architecture, switch features, FuSA and/or security initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvements and standardization efforts.
• Collaborate with HW/RTL teams and engage with industry standards bodies.
