Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform to design, build, and operate scalable data infrastructure powering our Ads business and Unity Commons, our internal platform serving teams across Unity. You will work at the intersection of distributed systems, backend services, and cloud native infrastructure.

This role requires strong backend and systems engineering skills, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operational trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems in production.
• Strong backend and systems engineering skills with production ops know-how.
• Understanding of scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infra, containers, CI/CD, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable platform services and backend systems.
• Work on distributed data platforms, cloud infra, observability, and automation.
• Collaborate with Unity teams to deliver reliable, reusable solutions.
• Build systems that are reliable, maintainable, secure, and cost-efficient.
