Job summary

Solita is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to maintain and evolve a modern cloud-based dataplatform. You will own integration layers, build Cloud Functions, and drive reliable production solutions.

The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, collaborating with developers, customers, and stakeholders, often in an on-site role at Aalborg.

Qualifications

• Solid practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in production environments.
• Strong Python development skills and use as a primary language.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Good understanding of data warehousing, data modeling and pipelines, preferably with BigQuery.
• Experience with integration patterns such as APIs, events, ingestion flows, fault handling and robust integrations.
• Senior/leadership capability to take ownership of a technical domain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the modern cloud-based data platform.
• Develop and own the platform's integration layer and cloud-based functions.
• Debug across integrations, cloud functions and daily operations in production.
• Lead technical direction, review work and shape architectural decisions.
• Provide on-site or remote technical guidance to clients and stakeholders.
