Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team at our Denmark offices. You will design, build and operate data solutions aligned with business needs, guiding data best practices across lines of business.
You will work with Python, Databricks, dbt and SQL in a collaborative, global environment, supporting cross-functional data projects and data platform architecture. Travel is modest and the role emphasizes impact and teamwork.

We are seeking a passionate Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building and operating data solutions based on business requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. You will be joining the Data & Analytics team which is responsible for the cross-functional data platform and data services for analytical purposes. You will join a highly motivated team who has a bigger ‘why' in all their delivered solutions, with a high degree of freedom and space for being ambitious.
You will report directly to People Leader, Babak Bajelan, and Functional Leader, Sune Mejlvang, both based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree, preferably a master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or something completely different. Most importantly, you know your technology and how to make it work for business.
Furthermore, you have:
Ideally you are well versed with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and Pharma domain knowledge is a plus.
You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can‑do attitude.
You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key.
To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be
Travel: 10-15 days per year.
