Danske Bank is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to help modernise portfolio calculation capabilities.

You will work with engineers, analysts and a Product Owner to translate complex data flows and calculation logic into clear requirements and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within software development.
• Experience with digital products, complex system landscapes, integrations, APIs, cloud-based solutions or data-intensive environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience defining requirements and working closely with software engineers.
• Understanding of data sourcing, data flows, integrations and business processes.

Would you like to play a key role in modernising how investment performance is calculated and presented to customers? Do you enjoy understanding complex systems, data flows and business processes, and translating that complexity into clear requirements and valuable solutions?
Join us in developing portfolio calculation capabilities that help customers understand their investment returns and enable advisers to provide relevant guidance. Our solutions create transparency and insight across the investment experience and form an important part of the bank’s technology modernisation.

What you will be doing
As a Senior Business Analyst, also known internally as a Business and Functional Specialist, you will join the Investment Portfolio Calculations squad in Wealth Planning & Investments. Working alongside software engineers, Business Analysts and a Product Owner, you will help shape reliable and cost-efficient portfolio performance solutions. Among other things, you will:

• Analyse business processes, data flows, calculation principles and dependencies across systems
• Translate business needs and calculation logic into clear requirements, acceptance criteria and development tasks
• Map data sources, integrations and system interactions to support solution design
• Collaborate with software engineers to develop reliable, scalable and maintainable solutions
• Drive discovery, analysis and problem-solving across business and technology domains
• Support testing and validation to ensure that calculations and portfolio insights meet requirements
• Engage stakeholders across business, technology, legal and regulatory areas
• Take ownership of larger topics and move them from exploration towards delivery
  

About you
An analytical mindset and genuine curiosity about technology will help you succeed in this position. While a software engineering background is not required, confidence in engaging with engineers and discussing systems, data structures, integrations, APIs, cloud-based solutions and business logic is important.
The role suits a self-driven and collaborative professional who can move between detailed analysis and the broader business perspective. Creating structure, asking constructive questions, involving the right stakeholders and maintaining momentum should come naturally. We hope you bring:

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business and Functional Specialist, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst or in a comparable role within software development
• Experience with digital products, complex system landscapes, integrations, APIs, cloud-based solutions or data-intensive environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience defining requirements and working closely with software engineers
• An understanding of data sourcing, data flows, integrations, system dependencies and business processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
  

Experience with investments, wealth management, portfolio performance calculations, financial reporting or related regulation would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite.
