Som Senior Automation Engineer vil du operere på tværs af hele automatiseringsstakken, herunder PLC, sikkerhedssystemer og integration. Du vil arbejde med vores CrisBag-system og hjælpe med at udvikle fremtidens automatiseringsløsninger.

Stillingsbeskrivelse

As a Senior Automation Engineer at BEUMER Group, you will take ownership of mission critical projects for baggage handling solutions in major airports worldwide. Leveraging your deep technical expertise, you ensure our systems keep millions of passengers moving safely and efficiently every day. To further expand and strengthen our team in Airport Automation, we are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our Project Engineering team of 12 highly skilled colleagues. The team works with our CrisBag system for some of the world's largest airports, and travel may be required. Our systems operate around the clock, handle millions of bags annually, and demand reliability, scalability, and maintainability. You will bring tomorrow’s automation solutions to life with immediate access to our in‑house test centre for prototyping, simulation, and validation.

Role

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will act as a technical authority, identifying opportunities for enhancement in existing systems and processes. You will work across the full automation stack—including PLC, safety systems, network infrastructure, high‑level system integration, commissioning and cross‑disciplinary technical coordination. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing PLC code for project‑specific elements and solutions in our baggage handling system
• Defining the best solutions for specific projects
• Commissioning PLC code worldwide and testing solutions virtually or at our test centre
• Reviewing layouts and solutions early in the process to secure long‑term project success
• Mentoring team members in code development, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
• Participating in the documentation of our solutions

• Advanced proficiency in Siemens TIA and SCL (Structured Control Language)

Furthermore, you should possess strong coordination skills, be proactive and detail‑oriented, and be able to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams effectively.
