Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Global Logistics & Distribution team in Denmark. You will coordinate daily shipping, ensure GDP/GxP compliant processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cold chain distribution of our biotech products.

The role requires at least 5 years of logistics experience, strong knowledge of international shipping, and proficiency in English and Danish. Travel 5–15 days per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics within biotech/pharma or regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of international logistics, cold chain shipping, and GDP/GxP requirements.
• Experience with customs, VAT, and shipping documentation.
• Proficiency in English and Danish (written and spoken).
• Microsoft Office skills; ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and ensure timely collection and delivery of GxP shipments.
• Ensure GDP/GxP compliance in all transportation and storage activities.
• Communicate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Identify process improvements and train colleagues on shipping procedures.
• Travel up to 15 days per year as required.

We are seeking a passionate Senior Associate to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in Global Logistics This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will join the Global Logistics team consisting of 5 colleagues, and report directly to Aske Engsbro-Jansson, Associate Director who is based in Hellerup. You will be based in Hellerup

Your key responsibilities will be:

Logistics Operations

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and ensure timely collection and delivery of GxP shipments
• Communicate clearly and accurately with third-party vendors

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all transportation and storage activities comply with GDP and regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Guide, train, and support colleagues on shipping procedures and requirements
• Resolve logistics issues with internal and external partners
• Identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications and Skills:

You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Logistics, preferably within the biotech, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry (e.g., food, medical devices)

Furthermore, you have:

• Strong knowledge of international logistics, cold chain shipping, and GxP/GDP requirements
• Experience with customs and VAT requirements, shipping documentation, and third-party logistics
• Proficiency in English and Danish (written and spoken)
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365) is an advantage
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
