Job summary

Ascendis Pharma, based in Hellerup, Denmark, is seeking a Senior Associate to join Global Logistics and Distribution. The role focuses on coordinating GxP shipments, ensuring GDP compliance, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast-paced biotech environment.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in logistics within regulated industries, strong English and Danish, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365). Office and customs knowledge are beneficial.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Logistics, preferably in biotech, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of international logistics, cold chain shipping, and GDP/GDP requirements.
• Experience with customs and VAT, shipping documentation and third‑party logistics.
• Proficiency in English and Danish (written and spoken).
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office; ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and ensure timely collection and delivery of GxP shipments.
• Communicate clearly with third-party vendors and stakeholders.
• Ensure all transportation and storage activities comply with GDP and regulatory requirements.
• Guide, train, and support colleagues on shipping procedures and requirements; resolve logistics issues with partners.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

We are seeking a passionate Senior Associate to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in Global Logistics This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will join the Global Logistics team consisting of 5 colleagues, and report directly to Aske Engsbro-Jansson, Associate Director who is based in Hellerup. You will be based in Hellerup

Your key responsibilities will be:

Logistics Operations

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and ensure timely collection and delivery of GxP shipments
• Communicate clearly and accurately with third-party vendors.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all transportation and storage activities comply with GDP and regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Guide, train, and support colleagues on shipping procedures and requirements
• Resolve logistics issues with internal and external partners

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements

You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Logistics, preferably within the biotech, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry (e.g., food, medical devices)

Furthermore, you have:

• Strong knowledge of international logistics, cold chain shipping, and GxP/GDP requirements.
• Experience with customs and VAT requirements, shipping documentation, and third-party logistics.
• Proficiency in English and Danish (written and spoken)
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365) is an advantage
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
