Job description

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste.

Why do we need to do that? Because more than 1/3 of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss!

As the world’s largest food waste fighting app, we connect stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it. But we’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation and our mission is to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast, with our community of 120 million users in 21 countries saving more than 500 million meals from going to waste. We are incredibly proud of this, but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

We are now looking for an exceptional Senior Art Director to join the global team at Too Good To Go in Copenhagen.

Your mission

You will use your outstanding creative skills to bring Too Good To Go’s mission, brand, and products to our consumers and businesses across numerous channels, bringing art direction excellence to our creative assets used globally to drive engagement and help us make a huge impact in the fight against food waste. Embracing our guidelines, identity and tone of voice you’ll be a brand guardian and work in close collaboration across marketing and particularly with the creative department and digital marketing.

Your role
  • Elevate the quality of our marketing campaigns and creative output through stronger concepts, sharper execution, and high creative standards.
  • Be an integral part of the creative leadership team led by the Director of Brand & Creative, collaborating closely with the Head of Design and Head of Creative Production.
  • Lead and inspire a team of creatives, copywriters, and creative managers to deliver exceptional ideas, craft, and storytelling across channels.
  • Shape and improve brand identity through strong art direction across activations, design, video, social, and campaign development.
  • Balance brand building creativity with performance-driven thinking to create work that is both commercially effective and culturally engaging.
  • Lead by example through coaching, mentoring, and hands‑on creative direction, supporting both personal growth and professional development within the team.
  • Present concepts, sketches, storyboards, and creative rationale clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Explore and integrate emerging creative technologies, including AI tools and workflows, to enhance ideation, production, and creative excellence.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Art Director or Associate Creative Director role, ideally with agency experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, art direction, and high quality campaign execution across multiple channels.
  • Extensive experience within performance marketing, with the ability to create innovative concepts that drive both brand impact and business results.
  • Expert in conceptual development, visual storytelling, and creative problem solving.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary creative teams and department leads.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting creative work to senior leadership.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and fast‑moving projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma with experience across multimedia content, design, and video production.
  • Familiarity with AI creative tools and emerging technologies as part of modern creative development workflows.
