Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and deep code evaluation across Unity’s engine, editor, and cloud services. You will harness AI-assisted tooling to enhance vulnerability management and secure Unity’s AI systems, working with teams across the US and EMEA.

The role requires 5+ years in application security, strong secure coding skills, and hands-on testing across languages, with cloud security experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security for large-scale systems.
• Strong command of secure coding and common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10 and beyond).
• Hands-on secure development across several languages.
• Experience with penetration testing, security assessment and vulnerability management using standard tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Experience with Cloud security (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, cryptography, and secure architecture patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for Unity products and services.
• Perform deep code review and manual testing on high-risk systems with AI-assisted processes.
• Build and operate security automation and AI-assisted tooling for code review and pentesting.
• Secure Unity's AI and agentic systems, including AI-native products and LLM integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive remediation and establish guardrails and secure defaults.
• Investigate and respond to application security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
