Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a software developer to design and maintain embedded control software for wind turbines. You will work in a global team, contribute to full software lifecycle, and participate in agile SCRUM teams to deliver robust, secure, high-performing solutions.

The role offers flexible work arrangements with office and remote options, and requires 5+ years in C/C++ software development and embedded systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in IT, Software, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, software testing, CI and embedded control mechanisms.
• Interest in control of mechanical domains like aerodynamics, mechanics, hydraulics and power electronics.
• Familiarity with real-time protocols (ProfiNet) and agile methods (SCRUM/SAFe).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for delivering quality software in renewables.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control software in C++ for Linux-based embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive software testing including unit/integration/acceptance tests with strong CI/CD practices and AI-assisted programming.
