Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking a Computational Linguist to bridge human language and AI, analyzing the deep structures of your native tongue to guide model behavior. You will shape guidelines for dialects and cultural idioms while contributing datasets for supervised fine-tuning.

You will collaborate on multilingual, global projects, including RTL handling, with a flexible remote setup and diverse team worldwide.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Language: Native-level fluency in at least one language.
• English Proficiency: Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English for technical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive linguistic audits on AI outputs for grammatical precision and semantic accuracy.
• Design and refine linguistic guidelines to master dialects, slang, and cultural idioms.
• Collaborate on SFT projects by creating high-quality datasets reflecting native tongue structures.
• Analyze how AI handles RTL writing systems and provide architectural feedback to engineers.
