Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking an Installation Design Manager to lead installation design, routeing and shop-drawing maturity for railway projects. You will coordinate with engineering, implementation, HSE and construction teams to ensure site-ready packages and timely handover to operations.

The role requires strong CAD/BIM skills, constructability expertise and the ability to bridge engineering intent with on-site reality, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Experience leading installation design in rail stations, telecoms, electrical or infrastructure projects.
Strong constructability, CAD/BIM, cable routing and installation-quality record understanding.
Ability to translate engineering intent into site reality and manage late design changes.

Responsibilities

Lead installation design packages including equipment locations, cable routes and layouts.
Conduct constructability reviews with multiple stakeholders.
Ensure drawings and work packs are approved and configuration-controlled.
Coordinate site data, field changes and installation acceptance evidence.
Escalate clashes affecting access, sequence or interfaces.
