Alfa Laval is seeking an experienced R&D Development Engineer for Valves in Denmark. You will join a global valve team to develop and maintain our hygienic valve portfolio, collaborating with R&D colleagues worldwide to drive new product development and optimize existing ranges.
The role requires a mechanical engineering background and 5+ years in product design, with CFD, NX CAD, and PLM experience. Strong English and Danish communication are essential in this matrix organization.

As an R&D Development Engineer Valves at Alfa Laval, you will be part of our global valve team, focusing on the development and maintenance of our valve portfolio. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from R&D and other functions worldwide, contributing to both the development of new hygienic valves and the optimization of our existing product range.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with the valve development team and the broader R&D organization on quality, process improvement, and resource optimization.
Work closely with internal and global stakeholders to maintain a competitive valves portfolio.
Participate in projects from initial concept to product launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Support both development of new products and improvements to existing valves to meet market needs and customer requirements.
You thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks and stakeholders. You are structured, result-oriented, and able to balance independent work with strong teamwork. You have a positive approach to challenges and enjoy working in a large, sometimes complex matrix organization. You communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization and take initiative whenever needed, whether in the lab, on the shop floor, or when engaging with customers.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical foundation and preferably experience in the hygienic equipment industry:
Mechanical engineering background with at least 5 years of experience in product design or construction, preferably within hygienic equipment.
Skilled in CFD, with a desire to further develop this competence.
Proficient in CAD (NX preferred) and PLM (Siemens NX and TeamCenter preferred)
Knowledge of mechanical design requirements, manufacturing methods, and applications in the hygienic industry.
Excellent communication skills in English and Danish, both oral and written.
