Job summary

DTU Nanolab (DTU Lyngby Campus) invites applications for engineers to advance optical element fabrication and ADK development within the Q-PLANET project. The role includes packaging work and collaboration on photonic integrated circuits, with a focus on reliable process standardisation and device integration.

Successful candidates will hold a Master’s or PhD in engineering or physics, have hands-on fabrication experience, and demonstrate strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in engineering, physics, or related field.
  • Strong fabrication skills: Dry etching, thin film deposition, lithography.
  • Experience with optical/electrical characterization (Ellipsometry, SEM, AFM, PL).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and standardise optical element fabrication in DTU Nanolab.
  • Establish ADK/PDK for optical and electrical components.
  • Integrate optical fibre with PIC and perform device packaging tasks.
  • Collaborate with team and systematically document process results.
