Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality requirements and project quality comply with laws, guidelines, standards, regulations & client specs on site.
• Liaise with the Project Manager/Turnover Lead/Document Controller/Supervisors/Engineers to align QA/QC activities with project requirements.
• Ensure approved ITP/CQP/site SOPs are adhered to and inspections signed off (including sub-contractors).
• Manage QC Inspector(s)/QAQC Engineer(s).
• Oversee client-specified NDT/test/PED requirements per system.
• Record weld histories (WHS) for piping test packs.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities with the client QC representative.
• Monitor welding, testing and scope of testing per QA documentation.

Our client, a European specialist mechanical contractor, seeks an experienced QA/QC Lead For Piping to conduct and manage quality control and assurance procedures for a large pharma project in Denmark.

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned QA/QC Lead with extensive hands‑on experience executing technical and functional responsibilities related to Quality support activities within a mechanical/piping scope. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on developing and ensuring quality standards on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all quality requirements and the project quality will be in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines, standards, regulations & Client specifications on site

• Liaise with the Project Manager / Turnover Lead / Document Controller / Supervisors / Engineers to ensure that activities & roles that may influence quality including document control, quality control, material control and engineering operate to the project requirements

• Ensure that the approved ITP / CQP / site specific SOP’s are adhered to (including those belonging to sub-contractors) and that the inspections are signed-off

• Management of the QC Inspector(s) / QAQC Engineer(s).

• Oversee the Client specified NDT / test / PED requirements per system

• Oversee the recording of weld histories (WHS) for inclusion within piping test packs

• Co-ordinate all QA / QC activities / correspondence with the project Client QC representative.

• Monitor the welding, testing & scope of testing according to requirements of quality documentation

Required Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience

• Knowledge of piping isometrics & P&IDs is essential

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
