Job summary

Semicon Service Nordic AB is seeking a Python Engineer to contribute to the development and enhancement of Python-based applications and services, including backend APIs, data workflows, web applications, internal tools, and customer-facing solutions.

The role supports a range of experience levels, with increasing responsibilities and technical ownership by seniority, and requires strong collaboration with product, design, architecture, operations, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing web applications, APIs, or backend services.
• Good understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and data modelling.
• Familiarity with software testing and version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of web application fundamentals and server-rendered applications.
• Knowledge of JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable Python-based services and applications.
• Build and enhance APIs, integrations, background processes, and data workflows.
• Contribute to customer-facing applications and internal engineering tools.
• Collaborate with product, design, architecture, operations, and security teams.
• Improve code quality, system reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident resolution.
• Identify opportunities to simplify systems and minimize unnecessary technical complexity.
• Apply sound software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
