Job summary

Netcompany is seeking a Purple Security Engineer to join their Operations and dedicated Security team in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role involves protecting essential infrastructure and delivering robust security solutions against cyber threats. Candidates are required to have a degree in engineering or IT, proficient Danish and English language skills, and to be able to obtain security clearance from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service.

You will work collaboratively to solve security challenges creatively and be a trusted advisor on security-related tasks.

Responsibilities and technologies

As a Purple Security Engineer, you will be a part of Netcompany Operations and our dedicated Security team. Your work will involve defending critical infrastructure such as airports, large financial institutions, government systems, and other essential sectors. You will handle tasks ranging from identifying improvements and monitoring servers and applications to optimizing response strategies and advising colleagues.

You will be encouraged to solve technical problems creatively to find the best solutions. Open dialogue about different approaches to enhancing security is an important part of your work as a Purple Security Engineer.

You will be a trusted advisor for Netcompany’s delivery and project teams regarding how to solve security-related tasks. Your responsibilites will typically include:

• Implementing safeguards to protect critical solutions and the data infrastructure of Denmark from cyber threats.
• Engaging in proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Developing and implementing response strategies to effectively handle security incidents.
• Responding to and following up on alerts generated by our SIEM and EDR solutions, including adjusting these to ensure precision.

About you

To succeed in this role, you:

• You hold a degree or diploma in engineering, either bachelor's, master's, or have a similar qualification level in IT.
• You are motivated by delivering optimal business and critical societal solutions.
• Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must.

Employment is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain security clearance from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET).
