Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Project QC Engineer to manage quality control on a major data centre project in Milan, Italy. You will develop, maintain and deliver inspection packs, walkdowns and test documentation, ensuring design compliance and clean handover.

The role emphasizes structured QA processes, close collaboration with construction, commissioning and EHS teams, and opportunities across a growing European project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QC Engineer or quality inspection role on large construction projects.
• Exposure to data centres, pharmaceuticals or other regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of inspections, test packs, walkdowns and handover processes.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, SLDs and P&IDs.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working across multidisciplinary site teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in ethics, EHS, teamwork, cultural awareness and quality behaviours.
• Promote a positive quality culture and a “right first time” mindset on site.
• Comply with all project EHS requirements including PPE, permits and procedures.
• Support development of project‑specific method statements where required.
• Build effective working relationships with planning, engineering, operations, commissioning, EHS, supply chain and client teams.
