Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Freight Forwarder Project Manager in the Aid & Relief sector to join our Project Logistics team in Aarhus or Copenhagen, Denmark. You will manage complex international transport projects, coordinating air, sea and road movements, and delivering tailored logistics solutions for mission-critical operations.

You will build a new team around a new customer win, coordinating quoting, design, and execution while engaging stakeholders across the Maersk network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Aid & Relief business.
• Proven track record in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics.
• Strong project management capabilities with successful execution.
• Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager (Aid & Relief), you will be responsible for managing logistics projects on behalf of our customers, ensuring seamless transport execution and outstanding service delivery.

You will play a key role in building up a new team handling a new customer win. You will be coordinating everything from quoting/solution design to operating the shipment, within the different transport modes, as air, sea & road.

This position offers significant exposure to international stakeholders, complex logistics challenges, and strategic customer engagements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage end-to-end logistics projects for customers across Aid & Relief.
• Coordinate the transportation of equipment across ocean, air, and land modes.
• Capture and analyse project requirements to develop tailored logistics solutions.
• Support planning, costing, pricing, and proposal development activities.
• Lead project execution to ensure successful delivery against customer requirements.
• Create and optimise process flows for critical operational activities.
• Manage smaller tender processes and help secure competitive, commercially attractive solutions.
• Conduct site visits and engage local stakeholders to gather insights and support execution.
• Develop innovative logistics concepts and value-added service offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the global Maersk network.

• Proven experience within Aid & Relief business.
• Proven track record in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics or similar.
