Job summary

Space Inventor is seeking an experienced Project Manager with an engineering background to lead satellite projects for international customers, from concept through in-orbit operations. You will collaborate with team leads, manage milestones, and ensure timelines and budgets are met, while maintaining clear client communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with project management experience.
• PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with an engineering background to lead satellite projects. You’ll be working on both large and small-scale projects for international customers, requiring a high degree of independence, resilience, and a broad engineering foundation. If you're organized, enthusiastic about project management, and ready to set new standards in modern space technology, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage satellite projects from initial concept to in-orbit operations.
• Engage with clients and maintain open communication throughout project lifecycles.
• Plan and manage tasks with the project team to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate closely with team leads to plan, prioritize, and ensure smooth execution of tasks, meeting technical milestones and project timelines.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Oversee launch logistics, deployment, in-orbit commissioning, and daily operations of satellites.
• Inspire and motivate team members to meet deadlines and achieve project milestones.

Qualifications

• Strong motivation to drive satellite projects end-to-end.
• Experience from running new space ESA projects is desired but not mandatory.
• Outgoing and comfortable engaging with customers and colleagues at both technical and management levels.
• Solution-oriented, with the ability to focus on project goals despite minor setbacks.
• Self-driven and able to take ownership of your tasks and responsibilities.
• Skilled in time management and coordinating team efforts to meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Educational background in engineering, coupled with project management experience and certifications like PMP or Prince2.
• Team player, resourceful, and able to utilize both personal and company resources effectively.
