Job summary

The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a part‑time Professor of Translational molecular neuropathology, to commence as soon as possible. The externally funded professorship combines with a senior researcher position at the Department of Neurology at Copenhagen University Hospital – Bispebjerg.

The successful candidate will demonstrate original international scientific work in neurology, lead research, teach across levels, and help develop the Bispebjerg Brain Bank, while sharing

Qualifications

• Document a high degree of original academic production at international level.
• Manage research and other management functions, e.g. external activities and knowledge transfer.
• Provide research-based teaching.

Responsibilities

• Research, including publication/academic dissemination—neuroscience and brain studies with molecular biology.
• Research-based teaching for neuroscience students, medical doctors and biomedicine students.
• Research leadership and supervision of researchers, lead the Centre for Neuroscience and Stereology and Bispebjerg Brain Bank.
• Share knowledge with society and participate in public debate.
• Academic assessments.
