Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Procurement Specialist to drive the raw materials procurement for Site Copenhagen (Avedøre). The role emphasizes execution, collaboration, and continuous optimization across the supply chain.

You will ensure material availability, optimize stock, and work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Planning teams to meet site targets. Fluency in Danish and English is required; SAP ECC and MS Office experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strong performance in line with targets set by site management.
• Maintain stock levels in accordance with site management goals.
• Collaborate with Production and Warehouse on delivery issues and optimization opportunities.
• Report recurring or unresolved issues to Procurement Category Management.
• Execute daily procurement activities based on MRP requirements and end-user needs.
• Provide input to planners on material-level improvements related to forecasting, safety stock, and lot sizes.
• Proactively using ERP and MRP systems to support inventory reduction and strengthen inventory management.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders across Procurement, Suppliers, Planning, Customer Service, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Production.
• Managing SCRAP processes and following up on expired and obsolete stock.

The Role & Your Impact

As Procurement Specialist, you will be a key contributor to securing materials that keep our production running smoothly and efficiently. The role is operational with a strong focus on execution, collaboration, and continuous optimization across the supply chain.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

• Delivering strong performance in line with targets set by site management
• Maintaining stock levels in accordance with site management goals
• Collaborating closely with Production and Warehouse teams on delivery issues and optimization opportunities
• Reporting recurring or unresolved issues to Procurement Category Management
• Executing daily procurement activities based on MRP requirements and end‑user needs. Main area for this position is the raw materials, and in backup times this also includes, packaging materials, traded finished goods, and test kits
• Providing input to planners on material‑level improvements related to forecasting, safety stock, and lot sizes
• Proactively using ERP and MRP systems to support inventory reduction and strengthen inventory management
• Coordinating with key stakeholders across Procurement, Suppliers, Planning, Customer Service, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Production
• Managing SCRAP processes and following up on expired and obsolete stock

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

To succeed in this role, we expect that you:

• Have experience and/or a relevant educational background within Supply Chain
• Bring a strong supply chain mindset and understand the importance of keeping production running
• Are a reliable team player with a global mindset and experience from the process industry
• Have experience working with SAP ECC and MS Office
• Are fluent in both Danish and English, as the role involves regular communication and collaboration with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders in both languages
• Approach challenges with openness, honesty, and an engaging mindset

You will join the Planning & Procurement team at Site Avedøre, consisting of two supply chain planners, two procurement specialists, a planning manager, and a student assistant. The team combines strong experience with diversity in age, background, and perspectives.

This is a white‑collar position based at Site Copenhagen (Avedøre). We offer a flexible working setup with the possibility to work from home 1–2 days per week, depending on tasks and collaboration needs.
