Charm Connect in Herning is seeking a Preservation Architect to protect historical buildings and oversee restoration projects. You will assess conditions, develop preservation plans, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and professionals to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to preservation guidelines, managing timelines and budgets, and preparing reports for stakeholders and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an architect specializing in historic preservation.
• Familiarity with local and national preservation laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of historical buildings to determine their condition and identify any potential risks.
• Develop preservation plans that outline necessary repairs restoration techniques and timelines for completion.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations for the preservation project.
• Work closely with contractors to ensure that restoration work is carried out correctly and meets all necessary standards.
• Monitor progress of restoration projects to ensure they are on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare reports documenting the progress of preservation projects for clients stakeholders and government agencies as required.
• Stay up-to-date on local and national historic preservation laws guidelines and best practices.
