Job summary

SmartConnect Qatar in Aalborg is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. You will join and repair metal parts using MIG, TIG and stick welding, following blueprints and diagrams.

This is a physically demanding role that requires precision, stamina, and the ability to work with complex technical drawings. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, marking workpieces, operating welding equipment, inspecting finished welds, and collaborating with colleagues to complete projects on time.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine welding requirements.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; physical stamina required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine welding requirements.
• Measure and mark workpieces for welding.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal.
• Monitor welding process to ensure quality standards.
• Inspect post-welding results for defects.
• Repair damaged metal parts using appropriate welding techniques.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects on time.
