Job summary

The Department of Science Education at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position in university statistics education research, starting January 1, 2027. The postdoc joins the Toolbox Courses in Data Science project within the NNF-USE and collaborates with Aarhus and SDU, exploring didactics of mathematics and statistics education.

Qualifications

PhD in statistics education or data science education by January 1, 2027.
Master degree in statistics or a closely related field.
Documented teaching proficiency in university-level statistics.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a research team.
Experience with statistics education research in relation to natural sciences.
Experience with design-based research in statistics education.

Responsibilities

Design and conduct study and research activities linking questions in select sciences to statistical methods and theory.
Collect and analyze data related to the experiments.
Publish research results in high-quality international journals.
Participate actively in the local research environment and project activities.
40%–60% of time teaching and dissemination within department courses and projects.
