Job summary

University of Southern Denmark seeks a postdoctoral researcher in the Research Unit of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the Department of Clinical Research. The role is a 3-year, 100% time position starting 1 February 2027 or later, focused on epidemiological research in women's mental health.

Responsibilities include designing studies, conducting analyses, and publishing results. Collaboration is international, and there may be teaching and supervision as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in epidemiology or related field (or nearing completion) with strong health focus.
• Proven ability to conduct epidemiological research using register/cohort data.
• Experience with advanced epidemiological and statistical methods.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct epidemiological studies using register and cohort data; prepare study protocols.
• Independently perform statistical analyses, interpret results and write papers.
• Identify risk factors for mental disorders during perimenopause and contribute to prediction models.
• Contribute to target trial emulation studies on hormone therapy and mental health outcomes.
• Collaborate internationally and assist in data access, QA and documentation.
