Job summary

DTU Electro in Denmark seeks a postdoctoral researcher specializing in power electronics and high‑voltage IC design to push the boundaries of power ICs and power module integration.

You will contribute from architecture to validation, define system specs, perform transistor‑level design and layout, run silicon validation, and disseminate results at international conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
  • Documented experience in analog circuit design and layout in commercial CMOS processes.
  • Proven expertise in high-voltage analog or mixed-signal IC design in commercial CMOS or BCD processes.
  • Proven track record with tapeout and silicon validation.

Job Description

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of power electronics and integrated circuit design? We're looking for a driven postdoctoral researcher ready to make a real impact on the future of high voltage integrated circuits, with a particular focus on Power ICs and power module integration.


Responsibilities And Qualifications

You’ll be a core contributor to a project that spans the full arc from architecture to validation.



  • Define system-level specifications including voltage/current ratings, switching frequency targets, and thermal budgets in alignment with application requirements.

  • Evaluate and select optimal fabrication technologies and IC process nodes to achieve target power module performance.

  • Perform transistor-level circuit design, including noise, mismatch, process corner, and Monte Carlo analyses.

  • Undertake IC layout, physical verification, and tapeout preparation.

  • Carry out laboratory measurements and silicon validation of designed circuits.

  • Disseminate results through high-impact publications and active participation in international conferences.


Candidates should hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering with specialization in analog/mixed-signal IC design. Further qualifications include:



  • Documented experience in analog circuit design and layout in commercial CMOS processes.

  • Proven expertise in high-voltage analog or mixed-signal IC design in commercial CMOS or BCD processes.

  • Proven track record with tapeout and silicon validation.


As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
