Job summary

Aarhus University in Aarhus invites applications for a fixed-term full-time Postdoc position in cardiorenal metabolism. You will work with mouse models of human disease, perform phenotyping, and apply mass spectrometry to define metabolic targets. Independent project leadership with opportunities to develop coding skills (R/Python) is expected.

The position is 2 years, based in the Department of Biomedicine. English is the preferred language in the lab and collaboration is international.

Qualifications

• PhD in metabolism, physiology, molecular biology, pharmacology or biochemistry.
• Strong experience in rodent disease models and/or mass spectrometry.
• Experience with coding for data analysis (R/Python) is desirable.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent, high-quality in vivo studies in mice.
• Perform phenotyping and metabolic assessments (glucose, lipids, energy expenditure).
• Apply MS-based techniques to identify metabolic pathways.
• Analyze data with R/Python and integrate multi-omics results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and contribute to teaching as needed.
