Job summary

Lagan Energy Engineering Ltd on site across Denmark and Portugal seeks a Plant Operator to support electrical and construction activities with a range of plant equipment. You will operate telehandlers, excavators, forklifts, MEWPs, cranes, winches and cable-pulling gear, ensuring safe, efficient progress.

The role requires willingness to travel, follow method statements and RAMS, perform daily inspections, and work with site supervision to manage workloads while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Operator on large-scale projects.
• Valid plant operation certifications for required equipment.
• Experience with winches and cable-pulling gear is advantageous.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to inspect plant daily.
• Willingness to travel across Denmark and Portugal for assignments.
• Good communication and ability to follow site instructions.

About the Role:

Based across Denmark / Portugal

You’ll play a key role in supporting electrical and construction activities on site, operating a range of plant and specialist equipment including telehandlers, excavators, forklifts, MEWPs, cranes, winches and cable-pulling equipment.

Liasing with Site Supervisors &Project Management for up to date site arrangements.

• Operate a range of plant and specialised equipment.
• Responsible for safe use of all plant / machinery.
• Check in with Site Supervisor/Project Management for workload requirements.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience working as a Plant Operator on large-scale construction, infrastructure, electrical or data centre projects.
• Relevant and valid plant operation certifications/licences for the equipment required, such as telehandlers, excavators, forklifts, MEWPs, cranes or similar.
• Experience operating winches, cable-pulling equipment or lifting equipment would be advantageous.
• Ability to carry out daily plant and equipment inspections and identify/report defects.
• Ability to follow method statements, risk assessments and site procedures.
• Strong awareness of working safely around electrical installations, heavy equipment and other site activities.
• Willingness to work across Denmark and Portugal, including travel and/or rotational assignments as required.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructionsfrom site supervisors and project management.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and professionalism.
