Job summary

Finna AB in Stockholm, with remote options within Sweden, is seeking a Founding Software Engineer to join the team full-time. You will collaborate with the founding engineers across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and product to build a persistent cloud computer platform for AI agents.

Own architecture and implementation from design to deployment, work with TypeScript services, Linux environments, PostgreSQL, and APIs, and help set engineering practices, security standards, and performance

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building and shipping substantial software products or systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including APIs, data modelling, testing, debugging, and system design.
• Strong TypeScript skills and comfort working with Linux and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work across backend infrastructure and user-facing product code.
• Good judgment around security, reliability, permissions, and data protection.
• High ownership and the ability to take work from an initial problem through production.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Ability to work with substantial overlap with European working hours.
• Experience with AI-agent runtimes, cloud infrastructure, terminals, realtime systems, developer tools, React, Electron, or mobile applications is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software across backend systems, infrastructure, and user-facing product surfaces.
• Own technical work from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Build reliable systems for persistent AI-agent sessions, cloud computers, terminals, files, applications, and realtime communication.
• Work with TypeScript services, Linux environments, PostgreSQL, APIs, realtime protocols, and modern web technologies.
• Investigate and resolve technical and operational problems.
• Improve system security, reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability.
• Work closely with users and the founding team to turn product needs into durable technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical direction, engineering practices, and product decisions.
