Job summary

DTU Compute, Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, invites applications for a PhD scholarship in open-source EDA tooling. The project aims to enhance Europe’s competitiveness by developing open-source hardware design tools and a functional verification framework.

The candidate will work on hardware generators and verification approaches and may co-supervise students. The appointment is 3 years, under a collective agreement with Danish unions.

Qualifications

• Two-year master's degree (120 ECTS) in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering or an equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on EDA tooling.
• Design hardware generators.
• Develop a verification method (functional verification in Scala/Java).
• Integrate development into the Chips JU project ODE4EV-PIV.
• Co-supervise students.
• Optionally contribute to teaching.
