Job summary

DTU Management invites applications for a three-year PhD position embedded in the Cash Contingencies project, exploring how digital payments shape transactional infrastructure and societal vulnerability in Denmark. You will conduct ethnographic fieldwork with organizations responsible for emergency preparedness of payment systems and engage in workshops with stakeholders.

The candidate should hold a two-year master's degree or equivalent and demonstrate experience in organizational ethnography,

Qualifications

Experience with organizational ethnography and related qualitative methods.
Familiarity with theories from organization studies, economic anthropology, economic sociology, STS, or related fields.
Proficiency in Danish (or other Scandinavian language).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High degrees of independent project management.

Responsibilities

Address the project description clearly in submitted materials.
Document relevant experience and theories applicable to the Cash Contingencies project.
Propose ethnographic fieldwork with organizations responsible for emergency preparedness of payment infrastructures in Denmark.
Engage in workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
Contribute to the DTU PhD programme and related teaching as applicable.
