Job summary

Avanta Works seeks a skilled Network and Systems Administrator for a part-time position in Greenland. You will install, configure, and maintain network equipment, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, at least 2 years of experience, and familiarity with VMware, Windows and Linux systems. Accommodation is provided, and you will collaborate with IT staff on upgrades.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies and hardware.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation.
Troubleshoot any network or system issues that arise.
Perform system backups and ensure data security.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement new systems or upgrades.
Maintain documentation of network configurations.
