Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Data Center Engineer to join its mission-critical data centre operations team in Copenhagen. The role focuses on ensuring continuous operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems supporting critical infrastructure.

You will work closely with the Site Manager, clients, and contractors to maintain maximum uptime while operating in a fast-paced, regulated environment where reliability and operational excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data centre or critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems supporting mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical facility infrastructure.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and abnormal operating conditions with rapid resolution.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across multiple engineering disciplines and third-party service providers.
• Create, manage, and close work orders within the site's CMMS.
• Support change management activities and customer service ticketing processes.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure safety in all works per site procedures.

We are seeking a Data Center Engineer to join a mission-critical data centre operations team in Copenhagen. This role is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems supporting critical infrastructure.

Working closely with the Site Manager, clients, and specialist contractors, you will play a key role in maintaining maximum uptime across the facility.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in critical facilities environments and be comfortable operating within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where reliability and operational excellence are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical facility infrastructure.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and abnormal operating conditions while ensuring rapid resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across multiple engineering disciplines and third-party service providers.
• Create, manage, and close work orders within the site's maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Support change management activities and customer service ticketing processes.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.

Critical Systems Experience:

Candidates should have experience operating and maintaining some or all of the following:

• Diesel emergency generators, UPS systems, Power distribution equipment, ATS and STS systems, PDU and PMM equipment, Transformers and utility feeders, Air Handling Units (AHUs), CRAC units, Chiller plants, Cooling towers, Pumps and motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Chemical treatment systems, Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS), Fire and life safety systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience within a data centre or other critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems supporting mission-critical operations.
