Job summary

emagine is looking for an experienced consultant to act as an internal Client Representative for Operations during the handover of wind turbine assets from Construction to Operations.

The consultant will represent the Operations perspective throughout the handover, ensuring operational risks, assumptions, outstanding works and documentation gaps are identified, challenged and understood before assets are transferred.

Qualifications

• Structured and technically strong profile with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with wind turbine systems and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Ability to challenge constructively and represent customer interests.
• Experience in Operations Readiness, Asset Management or Construction-to-Operations handover roles.

Responsibilities

• Represent Operations in Construction-to-Operations handover activities and working groups.
• Review and challenge project assumptions and Assumption Books from an Operations perspective.
• Review Integrity Issue Cases for operational impacts and address them.
• Review snags, punch lists, incomplete works and deficiencies for operational risk.
• Identify and assess operational, technical, and reliability risks post-handover.
• Review handover documentation and identify gaps or missing deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings and workshops as Operations representative.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for WTG handover readiness.

emagine is looking for an experienced consultant to act as an internal Client Representative for Operations during the handover of wind turbine assets from Construction to Operations.

The consultant will represent the Operations perspective throughout the handover process, ensuring that operational risks, assumptions, outstanding works, integrity concerns and documentation gaps are identified, challenged and understood before assets are transferred to Operations.

The assignment is focused on Siemens Gamesa D11 and D14 wind turbine platforms (WTG scope only).

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Operations in Construction-to-Operations handover activities and working groups.
• Review and challenge project assumptions and Assumption Books from an Operations perspective.
• Review and provide input to Integrity Issue Cases, ensuring operational impacts are understood and addressed.
• Review snags, punch lists, incomplete works and outstanding defects, with focus on operational consequences and risk exposure.
• Identify and assess key operational, technical and reliability risks that may impact Operations after handover.
• Support the review of handover documentation and identify documentation gaps or missing deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings, technical workshops and review sessions as the Operations representative.
• Provide technical support and recommendations related to WTG handover readiness.

Potential Secondary Responsibilities

Depending on project priorities, the consultant may also support:

• Supplier qualification activities related to main component refurbishment and repair suppliers.
• Main component upgrade projects.
• General risk management activities within Operations.
• Other technical project management and asset management initiatives.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for a structured and technically strong profile with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Preferred backgrounds include:

• Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Manager.
• Technical Project Manager within wind energy.
• Siemens Gamesa service, engineering or project organisation.
• Operations Readiness, Asset Management or Construction-to-Operations handover roles.

Experience with Siemens Gamesa D11 and/or D14 turbines is considered an advantage but is not a requirement.

• Strong technical understanding of wind turbine systems.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and organisations.
• Ability to challenge constructively and represent customer interests.
• Strong risk management and problem-solving skills.Structured, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
