Job summary

Lunar Denmark in Copenhagen seeks an Operational Risk Analyst to join the Risk Management team. You will own and develop the operational risk framework, guiding risk assessments, incidents, and governance across products and processes.

The role requires strong communication, cross-organisational engagement, and deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape, including DORA, in a fast-paced, Nordic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with operational risk management in a financial institution, incl. risk assessments, incidents, controls, and business continuity.
• Experience with third-party management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the operational risk framework, manage risks and incidents, and translate findings into actions.
• Advise the business on operational risk, incidents, and controls.
• Lead risk self-assessment workshops and maintain visibility of risks and incidents.
• Govern Product Approval Process to ensure proper operational risk assessment for new products and initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps and improving team processes.

As our new Operational Risk Analyst, you’ll join the Risk Management team based in Copenhagen. It’s a busy seat with a lot on the table, so you’ll work across operational risk, controls, and resilience while keeping Lunar ahead of the curve and enabling the business to move fast with confidence.

What will you do?

Your core responsibility is identifying, measuring, and managing Lunar's operational risks — and making sure the right people have the right information to act on them, at the right time.

• Own and continuously develop our operational risk framework - working with operational risks and incidents day to day, running risk assessments, and turning findings into clear, business-oriented actions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the business on operational risk, incidents, and controls.
• Champion a strong risk culture by facilitating risk self-assessment workshops across teams, keeping risks and incidents visible, and owning the process for registering, tracking identified risks, providing key input to our ICAAP and reporting to management and the board.
• Own the governance of our Product Approval Process, ensuring operational risk is properly assessed as new products and initiatives move through it.
• Drive continuous improvement by taking ownership, flagging process gaps, and contributing to how the team gets better over time.

What are we looking for in you?

• Deep experience with operational risk management in a financial institution with exposure to running risk assessments, managing incidents, controls, business continuity, third party management and procurements.
• A master of structure who is eager to get things done, takes ownership, and keeps many things moving without dropping the ball.
• Comfortable engaging across the organisation to build risk awareness and a strong risk culture, and confident presenting findings and reporting to management.
• A solid understanding of the regulatory landscape for a licensed financial institution, including knowledge of DORA, and how it applies in practice.
• A good level of technical understanding, comfortable working with processes, systems, and the teams that run them.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Danish.
• A mindset that’s comfortable with change and a fast-paced environment where you have real responsibility and a short path from question to decision.
