At MyDefence, we are on an ambitious growth journey. As our new NPI Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing new products from development into full-scale production and ensuring that products, processes, and test solutions are industrialized in a structured and scalable way.

You will act as a key link between R&D and Operations and report to the Head of Global Operations Projects & NPI.

What You Will Do
New Product Introduction
  • Drive Operations activities in New Product Introduction projects from development handover to full-scale production in alignment with the MyDefence stage gate model.
  • Plan and execute industrialization activities to ensure that new products are ready for manufacturing, including production documentation, process setup, BOM and routing validation, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Support NPI project planning, milestone follow-up, and risk management to contribute to timely and successful product launches.
Industrialization and process development
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new products and product changes.
  • Define and support the validation of production methods, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions to ensure robust and scalable manufacturing. Identify and resolve manufacturability issues in close collaboration with R&D, Production, and Quality.
Test implementation and technical transfer
  • Support the implementation of production test solutions in collaboration with R&D and PTA, ensuring that test methods, equipment, and documentation are ready for manufacturing.
  • Support the technical transfer of products, processes, and test methods from development to production and between manufacturing sites when required.
  • Participate in pilot builds, ramp-up activities, and the training of production teams during product introductions and transfers.
Cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with R&D, Production, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and external partners to ensure successful execution of NPI and industrialization activities.
  • Contribute to project follow-up, issue resolution, and the continuous improvement of NPI, industrialization, and technical transfer processes.
  • The role does not include direct staff responsibility but involves coordination of cross-functional activities and workstreams across project teams.
