Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Europe is seeking a Country HSE Specialist to join the HSE Team in Denmark. You will support Danish projects in the Nordic OU and drive high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across project lifecycles.

You will develop and maintain HSE documentation, ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement and risk management in a global team environment. English and Danish communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Previous experience of HSE tasks in projects.
• Professional HSE certification is seen as a plus.
• Knowledgeable of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 certifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to operate within global teams.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Danish.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize HSE management systems for the Nordic OU in Denmark.
• Prepare and update HSE documentation according to internal processes and tender dates.
• Attend clarification meetings and workshops with the customer.
• Prepare the Project HSE Plan and related documentation such as Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan.
• Ensure activities comply with legal, contractual and internal HSE requirements.
• Produce reports for Project Reviews and participate in meetings to ensure the HSE Operating System remains effective.
• Review HSE documentation from subcontractors to meet requirements.
