Marker Diagnostics in Copenhagen is seeking a Laboratory Associate to support molecular biology and RT-qPCR workflows in our diagnostics development lab. You will perform and document bench work, process biological samples and help ensure experiments are completed reliably and with traceable records.

Qualifications

• Molecular biology techniques including PCR or qPCR and RNA/DNA extraction.
• Strong attention to detail and precise pipetting.
• Structured working style with ability to track multiple samples/records.
• Ability to work independently after proper training and assume responsibility.
• Careful approach to protocols and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on molecular biology work, RNA extraction and RT-qPCR.
• Process human-derived samples such as saliva, buccal swabs, plasma and urine.
• Prepare and pipette samples and reagents accurately, including microtiter plates.
• Prepare, execute and document experiments in the electronic laboratory notebook.
• Maintain clear sample traceability and keep laboratory materials organized.
• Support reagents preparation and equipment maintenance and routine quality control.
• Follow SOPs and documentation practices within the Quality Management System.
• Identify deviations and troubleshoot problems with colleagues.
• Communicate results, progress and issues clearly to the team.
• Potential exposure to NGS workflows and other molecular diagnostic technologies.
