Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical leadership and strategic guidance for clinical trials within our client environment. The role emphasizes safety evaluation, protocol review, and medical compliance across study phases, collaborating with sponsor and internal teams to ensure high-quality study conduct.

You will lead investigation of protocol amendments, support site investigators, and train staff on lab procedures and SOPs, while ensuring adherence to GCP

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical medicine is required.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Experience with NDA submissions.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines for adverse event reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership to study teams and contribute to protocol development and amendments.
• Oversee real-time medical monitoring and ensure patient safety and data integrity.
• Serve as liaison between sponsor and internal departments across all study phases.
• Interact with investigators, IRBs, Health Authorities; assist in safety reviews and reporting.
• Ensure study compliance with SOPs and GCP across all medical activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate medical risks and results clearly.
