Job summary

GN Group is seeking a Student Assistant in Denmark to support mechanical testing and engineering tasks while you pursue a degree. The role involves hands-on lab work, data collection, and collaboration with engineers on prototype assembly and CAD updates.

We offer flexible hours (15–20 per week) and opportunities to connect with the GN Students Network, with emphasis on balancing studies and practical experience in product development and testing.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering, Design & Innovation, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field in Denmark.
• Interest in product development, testing, and mechanical design.
• Basic CAD experience (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, NX) is an advantage.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a lab and with computer-based engineering tasks.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and able to follow procedures accurately.
• Efficient communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and reliability tests according to defined test procedures.
• Prepare test setups, fixtures, and test samples.
• Document test results and observations.
• Collect, organize, and maintain test data.
• Support failure investigations and root cause analyses.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and test facilities.
• Support engineers with CAD modelling and drawing updates.
• Assist with prototype assembly and evaluation.
• Help maintain technical documentation and reports.
• Participate in engineering projects and ad hoc technical tasks.
