Job summary

Rockwell Automation’s CUBIC unit in Denmark seeks a Mechanical Designer to develop modular low-voltage switchboard systems and enclosure solutions. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOM data, supporting concept through production release while collaborating across global teams.

You will work in a dynamic R&D environment within Denmark and contribute to both new product introductions and ongoing product improvements, with a focus on quality, manufacturability, and cost.

Qualifications

• A relevant technical education as a Technical Designer or within Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Technology, Mechanical Design, or a similar field.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably Creo or Pro/ENGINEER.
• Experience working with large and complex assemblies.
• Experience creating and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and product data.
• A structured approach to managing product information and design changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD models, drawings, and product specifications for new products and product improvements.
• Support the design and development of enclosure systems, busbar support systems, and related mechanical components.
• Ensure designs meet requirements for quality, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Create and maintain drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and related product data.
• Maintain product information and specifications in relevant business and production systems.
• Manage the release of drawings, specifications, and product data through the Engineering Change process.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and product verification activities.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams throughout the product development process.
