Our department

The role is located in Vestas Research & Development (R&D) here new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within R&D, you'll find our department, Performance Testing, as part of Engineering Operations.

Our department is comprised of 20 experienced engineers and specialists based at our headquarters in Aarhus. Our team plays a vital role in supporting the entire Vestas organization by leveraging our specialized skills and extensive knowledge in the domains of Loads, Power Performance, Grid Compliance, Noise & Vibration, Power Electronics testing, and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

As a Measurement Engineer, you will oversee and improve the implementation of the measurement system on our field turbine prototypes and for module and component testing in our top-tier test facilities.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Technical lead on measurement system projects
  • Deliver technical solutions within scope, time, and cost target of the projects
  • Utilize operational scalability from planning to execution through collaboration with internal resources and external suppliers
  • Quality assurance with focus on process compliance, use of standard solutions and documentation
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives within new measurement technologies, digitalization, automation and standardization
  • The ideal candidate for this role should possess a good technical foundation coupled with good communication and stakeholder management abilities
Qualifications
  • B.Sc.E.E, Marine Engineer or other relevant education
  • 3+ years of experience within Electro mechanics or Automation
  • Solid technical understanding of fixing hardware and software problems
  • Relevant knowledge in Technical IT skills such as, NI LabVIEW, Fieldbus, network, protocols, hardware
  • Technical English written and spoken, experience with electrical documentation
