Job summary

AGC Biologics, Søborg site, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead a downstream microbial production area and translate strategy into safe, compliant, and high‑quality manufacturing. The role emphasizes developing leaders, ensuring reliability, and delivering value to patients worldwide.

You will collaborate across Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain while driving continuous improvement, audits, and complex deviation handling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of biologics API or GMP manufacturing experience with clear relevance to production operations.
• Proven leadership experience including leaders or Shift Supervisors.
• Strong understanding of microbial downstream processes and production operations.
• Solid knowledge of GMP and quality systems.
• Experience with multi-shift setups, CDMOs, or regulatory inspections will support success.

Responsibilities

• Own your production area, ensuring safety, performance, quality, and compliance across all shifts.
• Create flow — anticipate risks, solve challenges, and keep production aligned with business priorities.
• Move between the shop floor and strategic discussions, supporting Shift Supervisors in leading their teams.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to maintain readiness and resolve issues.
• Translate business goals into daily execution, ensuring production plans are delivered reliably and sustainably.
• Support audits, handle complex deviations, and drive improvements; shape performance and culture.
• Build a robust, predictable production setup and develop strong leaders who can carry that performance forward.

As Manufacturing Manager within Downstream Microbial Manufacturing, you step into a pivotal role where strategy meets execution — ensuring that complex production runs safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree within biotechnology, engineering, or life sciences
• Significant experience (8+ years) from biologics API or GMP manufacturing with clear relevance to production operations
• Solid and longer leadership experience from production, preferably including leadership of leaders or Shift Supervisors
• Strong understanding of microbial downstream processes and production operations
• Solid knowledge of GMP and quality systems
• Experience from multi-shift setups, CDMOs, or regulatory inspections will further support your success
