Copenhagen Energy Trading is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to move models from research to production, building robust, scalable pipelines that power trading strategies across Europe and North America. You will own the full lifecycle of models, from data management to deployment, monitoring, and adaptation as markets evolve.
This hands-on role sits at the center of CET's ML-enabled trading environment in Copenhagen, collaborating with researchers, software engineers, and traders to deliver
Machine learning is becoming an increasingly important part of how we understand energy markets, improve forecasts, and make trading decisions. We are therefore looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to move our models from research to production, building robust, scalable pipelines that continuously improve our strategies.
At Copenhagen Energy Trading (CET), we combine deep market expertise with machine learning, quantitative research, data, and engineering to automate and optimise how we trade power. We’re a small, highly ambitious team based in central Copenhagen, specialising in power trading and asset management across Europe and North America. Technology is at the core of how we operate, supported by one of Europe’s most advanced automated and analytical trading environments for power markets.
Energy markets produce vast amounts of data and are continuously shaped by weather, power production, transmission constraints, and market behaviour. Using that data meaningfully requires accurate models and reliable software and infrastructure that allow those models to run in production.
As our Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll work across machine learning and software development. Alongside quantitative researchers, software engineers and traders, you’ll build the production systems behind our ML pipelines, making our trading more performant, more reliable and more automated.
You’ll own the full lifecycle around the model: from data management to the pipelines and frameworks that deploy and monitor our models, keeping them reliable and adaptive as markets evolve. The opportunity for impact is large, and so is what it asks of you: dedication, real talent and the willingness to grind through hard problems. This is a hands-on engineering role at the centre of how CET uses machine learning to trade.
We value strong technical ability, sound judgement, curiosity, and motivation to learn. While we don't expect a perfect match, many of the following qualifications will help you succeed in the role:
