Job summary

IMC’s Trading Engineering team seeks an experienced SRE/Systems/DevOps professional to ensure safe daily releases, high availability, and optimal performance in a low-latency trading environment.

You will work closely with traders, researchers and technologists to translate trading needs into robust, sustainable solutions, focusing on root-cause analysis and proactive improvements. The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid incident response, and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an SRE or System/DevOps/MLOps Engineer.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of the Linux operating system.
• Experience building/maintaining ML pipelines is a plus.
• Experience with database querying.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and respond to production issues, focusing on root cause and structural fixes.
• Eliminate downtime by leveraging open source tech and translating trading requests into technical requirements.
• Coordinate and plan changes to trading software for smooth migrations and fast time-to-market for new features.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers and a broad range of technologists in a high-volume, low-latency environment.
